Insurance Beneficiaries

If you have young children and have created a trust in your Will, you should not make your children beneficiaries of your life insurance. Instead, you should name the trust created under your will as beneficiary of that insurance policy. This way the life insurance proceeds will be held and distributed according to the terms of the trust you created. If your beneficiary designation names your minor children directly, you should order change of beneficiary forms and bring them to me to amend.
